My thought is simple for this blog... The hell is up with Emcees random ass names and such. No one respects you with a whack name which is a known fact. But when you think to hard on it and try to be complex it doesn't work. For me my name came from the song oh crispy. I'm not gonna lie it was a joke. Till the day I got on that Freestyle battle stage and my homie from another Star just started sayin Ohhhh Crispy and it stuck. Now thats what im known by people on the street say the name crispy and know I have some lyrical talent. Now thats me some of these other athens bums yeah i said it need to work on that shit in my eyes and not just athens majors and undergrounds too.

A lot of people talk about the "golden age," of hip hop and I know that a lot of people either will love or hate this post. But real talk, the golden age is due for a second come around lets call it the "silver age" it will only atempt to be as good. The thing is to me the golden age died about ohh lets say 97. Think about it, it was constant good shit coming from a lot of artists back then. Making classic songs that you would bump 2 and 3 months after it got played out. A lot of good things were coming out a lot of strength was still in the hip hop community. And it wasn't about Rap, it was a lot more hip hop.

This silver age is starting to come im starting to see it a lot more clearer, that in the early 2000's the silver age of hip hop slowly started. I do think that there is a 2-3 year buffer on that idea yeah, cuz for a lil bit hip hop was weak as fuck and we all know it. So as a lot of better hip hop is coming out it is slowly getting better. Theres still a lot of fucker goin on which sucks but yet this shit has to happen for the good shit to come out.

Oh ohio Hip Hop:

O-H-I-O you know I've been doing some thinking and I usually come up with something thats a good topic to say the least. What happened to hayday Ohio hip hop. I mean yeah we had our hay day back in like the 90's with Bone thugs and at those other random ass Bone spin off groups. But where is that good classic ohio hip hop heads at. Now don't get me wrong, Kid Cudi, Chip tha Ripper, Corey Bapes(yeah i kno), etc. But for those like Crispy how u gonna over look Talib, HiTek, Blueprint? I didn't by anymeans its just when is Ohio gonna go back to being known as that music capital it used to be? We had people like damn that Bone song is hard I need more of that. Kudi is only starting but his buzz is getting bigger and bigger. I personally hope he just doesn't Charles Hamleton and start sayin/doing stupid things. (but i'll touch on that later) But alas hip hop is alive here and hopefully this lil buzz that is starting to generate will get Ohio hip hop back in contension with the other coasts....4th coast stand up haha.

Now this is something new. Well not really, I've been here before years and what not but now as an freestyleemcee (yes one word) I have to share my views o f what hip hop does to life and how it inspires more then people know. But as some do why stop here? You gotta come here for the fact of me telling the truth, giving some of the best new jams out there and a fresh spin on life. That of a freestyleemcee. Because we tell it as we see it no time to really grasp it we just speak our minds.
